More than Just Stories

Our books are not only fun to read and great resources for your family. They also highlight an amazing non-profit organization that is giving back to their community. These organizations differ in their mission and location but all of them bless lives; which is why we are giving back to them! A portion of your purchase price goes directly to these organizations to help them in their efforts.

Our Team

Jeana Atkison

Author

Former homeschool curriculum writer and mother of four, Jeana has always had a love of picture books, cupcakes, and volunteering. In fact, she started writing picture books because she didn't have time to volunteer at all the organizations she wanted to help and now the books help for her. Kind of like a small helping book army;).

Devika Oza

Illustrator “How to Eat a Cupcake”

Devika Oza is an illustrator born and raised in Kolkata, the city of joy. Devika loves stories

with adventure, where the journey of self-revelation unfolds as the characters take topsy-
turvy paths to overcome all kinds of obstacles. She enjoys bringing different characters

to life in her illustrations, with a focus on her Indian heritage and culture. The various
emotions that a character can portray is what fascinates her. When she’s not drawing,
Devika loves to dance, read romance books and watch action movies.

Winona Kieslich

Founded by author Jeana Atkison in 2023, Paper Seed Press is on a mission to publish children's books that grow readers and givers. "From our paper pages are great seeds planted".

As a former homeschool writer and designer, Jeana first ventured into the world of publishing in 2018. It was eye opening to see the process, and the possibilities! She noticed that many childrens books are funny, many are educational, and many are meaningful, but very few are all three. A seed was planted in her heart to create books that would be treasured by families because they teach, inspire, and build powerful moments together. She wanted to help children develop a love of reading.

It is important to mention that Jeana met her husband while part of a service organization in college. They fell in love while visiting the elderly for “Adopt a Grandparent”. Her volunteer efforts have not stopped, but as their family grew Jeana decided to use her interests, skills, and talents to serve in a new way. The seed within her grew to include the idea that her books could also be used to give back. Not only would they help non-profit organizations, but would also encourage children to develop a love of giving.

Jeana is a mother of four kids and lives in Idaho with her family, two dogs, too many chickens, and a library card that maxes out every week. She would love to hear from you!
